What can I get European Funding for?
You can receive European Funding for a project which meets the Objectives and Selection Criteria for one of the Measures within the current European Programmes. These are specified in the relevant Measure sheet.

How much Funding can I get?
Funding is available as a percentage of the costs of your project. The percentage available may vary between Measures and Funds. To see what rate is available for the Measure you are interested in, see the Measure sheet under "Nature of Aid".

How quickly can I get the Funding ?
It is the policy of the Managing Authority that applications are determined as quickly as possible, while safeguarding public funds. Once your application is acknowledged by the Implementing Body for your Measure, you will be given an estimate of the time that it will take to assess your application and any factors (such as the need for an economic or environmental appraisal) which will affect this.

How will the grant be paid?
Grant is normally paid in arrears against eligible expenditure incurred by you on your project. In some instances an initial advance may be payable. The Letter of Offer will require you to notify the Implementing Body of the project Bank Account details. Once you have incurred eligible expenses and submitted a claim, the grant will be paid by transfer to the Account.

I have read the Measure descriptions and am still unsure which measure my project is best matched to. Where can I get further advice?
See the section on this Website headed "contacts for help and other advice".

I cannot see the entire page of the website on my computer and cannot scroll to see the portion that falls off-screen
The problem is with the way that your screen display or internet browser has been set up on your PC. If your computer is set up by an IT department, speak to them, otherwise check in your manual.

Why are so many measures closed? When will they be open?
Implementing Bodies control the timetable under which they call for applications. Some may issue a single call and hold the measure open until all the EU Grant available has been allocated; others may make several calls during the life of the programme. To find out when the measure that you are interested in is likely to be issuing a call for applications, you should contact the person named for this measure. when the measure details are displayed, click on the CONTACT button at the top.

How do I print out Part A to check the information required?
Click on the APPLY button on the left-hand side of the screen. Then click on the link VIEW AND PRINT PART A which is below the login boxes.

How do I view and print out Part B for the measure which I have chosen?
Start your application Part A under the measure. Once you have completed the compulsory fields (marked with a tick) on the first screen, move to the second page and you will be able to scroll to the bottom of the screen where you should click on the button VIEW PART B.

I am having problems viewing and/or printing Part A or Part B on my computer. I get big black blocks on the page, error messages etc.
The most likely cause is that you are not using an up-to-date version of Adobe Acrobat Reader. Use the link on the Key Information - Programmes page to download a FREE copy.

If there is a deadline for applications, does this mean that I have to submit the Part A from the website by then, or do I have to get the Part B in by then too?
A complete and valid application requires that both Part A and Part B are submitted to the Implementing Body concerned. Therefore you are normally required to submit BOTH parts by any deadline. If there is any doubt about this you should contact the Body concerned - contact details can be obtained by clicking on CONTACT for the measure concerned.

How do I know when the measure that I want to apply for will be open?
If a measure is currently marked CLOSED you may find out when it will be open from the body implementing the measure - contact details can be obtained by clicking on CONTACT for the measure concerned.

Do I have to complete Part A all in one sitting?
No. Once you have completed the compulsory fields on the first screen, you may click on the SAVE AND EXIT button at any time; information that you have already entered will be preserved until the next time that you log in and continue filling in the form.
